ILM Level 7 Certificate and Diploma for Coaching Supervisors (Revised 2019)

An ILM Level 7 Coaching Supervisor Qualification provides a comprehensive level of knowledge and skills in coaching supervision. These qualifications are for those with significant knowledge and experience coaching, usually at senior level.

Trainee coaching supervisors for these ILM Level 7 Qualifications will be experienced professional coaches with supervisory experience.

Learners embarking on any ILM qualification will require considerable time and commitment to undertake the activities required to achieve the accreditation.

These qualifications are for professional coaches to equip them with the supervisory knowledge and skills needed to practice as confident and competent coaching supervisors. They are also ideal for those seeking to enhance and accredit their expertise in internal or external supervision with a nationally recognised qualification.

What do the Certificate and Diploma Cover?

The Level 7 Certificate and Diploma both include three units as outlined below covering knowledge and practical application:

Understanding Principles and Practice of Effective Coaching Supervision of Coaches
Undertaking Effective Coaching Supervision of Coaches (20 hours Cert/60 hours Dip)
Reflecting on Your Ability to Perform Effectively as a Coaching Supervisor of Coaches

** The Diploma requires significantly increased coaching hours with more tutorial support and coaching supervision

Course Delivery

We offer a combination of routes which include a fully taught model of workshops and blended learning models with a combination of workshops, e-learning and webinars.

Typically, the level 7 fully taught programme would include 6-7 one-day workshops.

All learners have an ILM qualification Induction, receive a course textbook and other materials and receive regular tutorials and supervision.

Assessment Activities

Requirements for 3 units include a written knowledge assignment, a reflective coaching supervision diary documenting your practical journey and supporting evidence from your supervisees and supervisor.

ILM Qualification Costs

Costs start from £2475 + Vat per head for the Certificate – all inclusive of ILM fees and programme components, discounts available for group bookings of 10+
