Julia Miles, Managing Director
Julia set up QED in the late 1980’s in London after successfully running a thriving training centre for the London Chamber of Commerce for several years. Julia was involved from the beginning of the revolution in vocational training and qualifications and QED became a centre with City and Guilds specialising in qualifications for those who were actively supporting these processes – the trainers, assessors and verifiers. She has also assisted many organisations to become accredited centres in their own right, establishing the first City and Guilds/ILM centre in the USA for the Georgia Academy in the late 90s.
QED delivered management and leadership training from the outset, becoming accredited by ILM in the 1990’s for Management qualifications. In 2004 Julia was delighted for QED to become one of the first pilot centres of the original ILM Coaching and Mentoring qualifications and QED has helped hundreds of customers become qualified coaches and mentors ever since.
In January 2018 Julia was selected by ILM to be part of their review and rewriting team for the latest version of the ILM Coaching & Mentoring suite of qualifications. These qualifications were released in November 2018 and QED is now pleased to be able to offer these to customers.
Julia is passionate about learning and development at every level and has a long-term commitment to supporting small business owners individual coaching and mentoring services. She was nominated as Sussex Business Mentor of the Year by the Women’s Business Awards in 2016.
