ILM Level 3 Award and Certificate in Effective Mentoring (Revised 2019)

An ILM Level 3 Mentoring Qualification is a great starter programme for mentors providing a good level of knowledge and skills in mentoring within a workplace or other similar context.

Trainee mentors for this ILM qualification could be employees, freelancers or volunteers and will gain both competence and confidence in operating as an effective mentor.

Learners embarking on any ILM qualification will require time and commitment to undertake the activities required to achieve the accreditation.

Who is it for?

These qualifications are for those at all levels who want to develop their mentoring knowledge, skills and understanding in order to enhance their ability and confidence in mentoring. The qualifications are ideal for both new and existing mentors. You will get the tools and confidence to mentor people as part of your normal working role or as an additional role.

What do the Award and Certificate Cover?

The Level 3 Award and Certificate both include three units as outlined below covering knowledge and practical application: –

Understanding Good Practice in Mentoring within an Organisational Context
Undertaking Mentoring within an Organisational Context (6 hours award/12 hours cert)
Reflecting on Mentoring Skills within an Organisational Context

** The Certificate requires extra mentoring hours with more tutorial support and mentoring supervision

Course Delivery

We offer a combination of routes which include a fully taught model of workshops and blended learning models with a combination of workshops, e-learning and webinars.

Typically, the ILM Level 3 fully taught programme would include 3-4 one-day workshops.

All learners have an ILM Qualification Induction, receive a course textbook with other materials and receive regular tutorials and mentoring supervision.

Assessment Activities

Requirements for 3 units include a written knowledge assignment, a reflective coaching diary documenting your practical journey and supporting evidence from your mentees and supervisor

ILM Qualification Costs

Courses start from £1075 + Vat per head for the Award inclusive of ILM fees and all programme components (In-house). Open courses from £1275. Discounts available for group bookings of 10+ learners.

Progression to other ILM Qualifications
