WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR
The Level 7 Certificate in Coaching Supervision was launched by ILM in 2013 and is for those who are very experienced internal or external coaches who wish to provide group and/or internal supervision to practicing executive, leadership, management or business coaches.
The programme provides comprehensive knowledge and skills development for the aspiring coach supervisor.
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME INVOLVE
There are 3 units included in this qualification:
- Understanding the Principles and Practice of Coaching Supervision in Organisations
- Reflecting on your Own Ability to Perform Effectively as a Coaching Supervisor
- Undertaking Coaching Supervision
Course components are:
- Structured learning workshops
- Online learning module
- Practical coaching supervision
- Course reading and materials
- ILM Assessments
This can be delivered as a fully taught course or as a blended learning programme.
Most learners complete the programme and assessments over a period of 6-12 months.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS
The programme fully explores all aspects of good practice in workplace coaching as well as developing the skills you need to plan, set up and deliver coaching to staff and colleagues effectively.
The assessments further embed both understanding and practical competence so you will develop confidence to operate successfully as a coach.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED
There are three written assignments to be completed, one covering knowledge and understanding of what constitutes good practice in coaching supervision. The other two assignments cover coaching supervision skills, you will complete 30 hours (10 group, 20 individual) for this Certificate. The final assignment is a review of your ‘coaching supervision diary’ and learning.
